A brawl erupted between legislatures of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the Sindh Assembly Thursday, Samaa reported.



The scuffle began when PPP MPA Shameem Mumtaz criticised the opposition members for talking about the party leaders in Dubai, referring to Asif Ali Zardari and Sharjeel Memon.



She said if the opposition talks about leaders in Dubai, they would also take to task those in London, referring to MQM chief Altaf Hussain.



The MQM lawmakers got up from their seats and engaged in a physical fight with the PPP MPAs.



Talking to Samaa, MQM leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan said the PPP’s woman MPA resorted to personal attacks. “Instead of delivering speech on budget, Shahmeem Mumtaz resorted to personal attacks,” he said.



Meanwhile, Shamim Mumtaz said that the dispute between the lawmakers has ended and that the Sindh Assembly session would resume tomorrow in a parliamentary manner
